The short answer
A charge from NVIDIA* GEFORCE NOW is a monthly or semi-annual membership for Priority or Ultimate cloud game streaming powered by RTX 4080 servers.
GeForce NOW Cloud Gaming Billing
A statement charge reading NVIDIA* GEFORCE NOW indicates an active cloud gaming subscription processed by NVIDIA Corporation. GeForce NOW streams high-performance PC games from cloud data centers directly to laptops and mobile devices, eliminating the need for high-end local graphics cards. Unlike catalog services like Xbox Game Pass Ultimate where game titles are bundled into the fee, GeForce NOW is a streaming infrastructure where players link their existing game libraries from Steam or Epic Games.
This billing descriptor represents a recurring GeForce NOW Cloud Gaming Membership fee for either the Priority tier (around $9.99 monthly) or the Ultimate tier (around $19.99 monthly, or $99.99 for six-month commitments). These premium tiers grant access to dedicated RTX 4080 cloud rigs, higher frame rates, ray tracing, and extended session durations. When subscribers enroll in a promotional free trial or a multi-month package, the plan automatically renews at the end of the term unless canceled beforehand.
If you see NVIDIA* GEFORCE NOW on your card and do not recognize it, check whether a gamer in your household signed up for cloud streaming. You can review your active subscription status and billing history by signing in to your NVIDIA account at nvidia.com. NVIDIA subscription payments are non-refundable once billed, but you can downgrade to the free membership tier anytime to stop future renewals while maintaining access through your current paid cycle.
